Creating A Gorgeous Home Environment

After I started focusing more on my home's interior, I realized that there were a few things I needed to spend time focusing on. For starters, the entire interior needed to be overhauled to be more functional, and it was really interesting to see how things started to come together after I hired a remodeling contractor. They were really easy to work with and they got right to work on our problem. Within a few short months, the entire house was refinished, and it felt like a modern, sleek, professionally refinished space. This blog is all about creating a gorgeous home environment.

Rustic And Refined: Remodeling Your Kitchen In Modern Farmhouse Style

The modern farmhouse look continues to grow in popularity in kitchen design, due to its rustic and refined look that gives you endless decorating options to suit your unique style. Whether you prefer a rustic look or lean towards a refined look, you will have no shortage of elements to choose from when remodeling your kitchen. Your new kitchen will be warm and inviting with just the right touch of charm gleaned from kitchens of the past.

Choose a color palette

Many modern farmhouse kitchens are designed with a neutral color palette. However, you can incorporate any color into your kitchen remodel and still make it work with the modern farmhouse style. Neutral and earthy tones are a popular choice and look sleek and refined when paired with stainless steel kitchen appliances.

Using white for your walls will give you a clean and simplistic canvas to use as the backdrop for your kitchen remodel. If you prefer a little color rather than the popular all-white kitchen, add color by painting cabinets muted shades of gray, blue, pink, or yellow. Subtle hints of color will not affect the clean look of modern farmhouse style and will let your kitchen reflect your personality.

Get a traditional farmhouse sink

Farmhouse sinks are one of the staples of modern farmhouse kitchens and often stand out as a focal point in the room. Porcelain sinks are common, but some versions are made with copper, stainless steel, and marble. These traditional sinks have a front apron, deep basin, and are set into the countertop.

Accent with natural wood

Using reclaimed wood in your farmhouse kitchen remodel will add charm and character to the room. Whether you choose reclaimed wood beams to dress up the ceiling or repurpose old barn doors to use as an accent feature, natural wood in a farmhouse kitchen is a winning combination.

Go for open shelving

Part of the charm of a farmhouse kitchen lies with the open shelving. Use open shelves to display collectible items, dinnerware, cookbooks, or kitchen staples, such as pasta and rice in glass jars. Glass cupboard doors alternated between open shelving is another popular modern farmhouse look that will make finding your kitchen essentials easy.

You simply cannot go wrong when you choose to remodel your kitchen in the modern farmhouse style. You will enjoy the convenience of modern-day elements while enjoying all the cozy and inviting appeal of farmhouse kitchens from the past. Your modern farmhouse kitchen will become the heart of your home and be a welcoming haven for making memories with family and friends.
